What is VocaBound: Worlds?
VocaBound: Worlds is an immersive 3D language-learning game from VocaBound LLC. Mandarin Chinese is the first language, set in a fictional world inspired by Taiwan — you learn by talking to people, finding your way, and handling everyday errands.
When does it come out?
There’s no release date yet. Waitlist members and preorder supporters will hear first.
What can I play it on?
PC first. A mobile version is something we’re considering for later.
Do I need to know any Mandarin?
No. VocaBound: Worlds is designed for complete beginners, especially native English speakers starting from zero.
Traditional or simplified characters?
Traditional characters, to match the game’s Taiwan-inspired world — with pinyin shown alongside so beginners can read and pronounce from day one.
Will there be other languages?
Yes, that’s the plan. Mandarin comes first. Each new language gets its own world, set in a country where that language is spoken — just as the Mandarin world is inspired by Taiwan.
